Atom editor

I've installed Catalina 10.15.3 the last version, but I was unable to install Atom Editor and the error is:

Cannot open "Atom" because Apple cannot check for malware.

You need to update the software. For more information, contact the developer.

How can I risolve this problem?

Thanks a lot

If you are certain that the application you downloaded is genuine, then, instead of opening by double-clicking or other method, locate the application in the Applications folder, CONTROL-click and choose Open.

You will receive a similar dialog, but this one allows you to choose "Open":

This will only be needed the first time you open the application. Afterwards, it will open normally.
