All of a sudden my iPhone 11 is blocking messages and calls that I never previously blocked!! I checked the DDD and shut the phone etc, but it's still down it. Some if those messages are important so it's very annoying
Could be that --> Detect and block spam phone calls - Apple Support
To turn OFF Silence Unknown Callers, go to Settings > Phone, scroll down, then de-select Silence Unknown Callers. Calls from unknown numbers are silenced and sent to your voicemail, and appear in your recent calls list.

Thanks for that info but I already checked that setting and it's not the problem. The caller ID comes up saying BLOCKED. It doesn't show a whole phone number either - just 3 digits a dash and 3 more very odd !!
