REINDEXING LOOPS deleted my loops
ok im probably going to be pretty scattered here for the most part, because i have never really understood this all too much. what im talking about is, apple loops, and the loop browser in general.
Ok first problem i have is: a Loop-pack labeled "ROLAND" in my apple loops, loop packs. is gone, and i cant figure out how to re add it. right under the line that seperates the ilife and the reindex was my "ROLAND" folder then another line seperated it that from reindex.
i hit re index all loops and now its gone. like an idiot, i didnt know what reindex would do. and now its gone.
not a huge big deal. because i needed to learn how to create a new loop pack/genre/filter/groupings thing to the apple loops anyway.
but i had this folder(ROLAND) with all the files and its not gone now after i hit reindex.
Side bar: i have no idea how the roland folder got there to begin with. but i need to learn how to add my own anyway.
when i try and take the "roland" folder and try and re add it. by clicking and dragging it into the loop browser. it wants to put it in the untagged loop section.
which is not convenient and has several folders i have to go through to be able to get to my loop.
it should be able to look like this but with another group called "roland" added too my apple loops like this for example like "chillwave"
i know i should be able to. because it was just like that for "one" of my "roland folders" before i hit reindex, like an idiot, wondering what the button did.
but i have multiple "roland" folders full of 300ish loops in each, that one somehow, was already properly formatted and now its gone.
i feel like it has something to do with, ~/library/audio/apple loops or ~/Music/Audio Music Apps/ but i CAN NOT figure this out. and its really bumming me out. i feel like if i can streamline my loopstation work into logic like this it will speed of my work flow ten fold
OK NEW TRAIN OF THOUGHT
basically. all i need to be able to do is create those subgroups/loop packs/genre filter and add loops to them. even if i have to do it manually one by one. but i cant figure out how to edit those loops packs. and create my own groupings.
like this for example
how do i create new loop packs, like how i have one at the top that says "my loops" how to i create more groupings.
remember i just had one there before i hit reindex so i know there is a way
