Metadata not visible in Photos view following Catalina 10.15.3 Mac upgrade

Hi,

Prior to the upgrade I was able to easily see the metadata of all my photos (i.e. title) in the Photos view. Now it's just a grid. I've selected view>metadata>titles but nothing appears.

(Albums are not affected and continue to show titles).

How can I get titles to display in the Photos view without doing cmd>i for each one?

The first version of Photos 5.0 could not show the titles below the thumbnails. Update at least to macOS 10.15.2.

Then enable "Metadata > Titles" and you can see the titles in All Photo and all other album, but not in Days, Months, Years.

In "All Photos" switch the aspect ratio from >Square to Full aspect Ratio. The switch is to the right of the traffic light button in the toolbar.

Thank you so much Leonie! I never knew the aspect ratio button existed.

It took me some time to discover the aspect ratio button too. I started looking for it, after I discovered it on my iPad 😄
