MacBook Pro display problem

Hi everyone, My 13'' MacBook Pro (without the Touch Bar) is only just a little over 2 years old. I have never dropped it or hit on anywhere solid. The problem started to happen a few months back and it's becoming more and more frequent. When I open the machine the display does not come up. instead I can see the background light sort of come up from the screen but no proper display. Sometimes I see random vertical lines with various colours. It's an obviously false display. Each time it happens I need to press ESC to turn the screen off and back on in hope that the proper display will come up. I am not sure when the machine is going to die completely. Anyone experienced similar problem at all? Hope someone knows a trick or two?

Thanks very much everyone!
