Mouse going crazy in Roblox. How do I adjust?

I'm trying to play a Windows-only game called Roblox using VMWare Fusion and the mouse is going crazy. It seems the input is hypersensitive with wild gyrations for every move. In addition it looks like the in-application cursor is being duplicated by the Windows system cursor, causing some sort of duel input which doesn't happen when running Roblox on our "real" Windows machine.

Unfortunately, I have a whole pack of Logitech mouses and trackballs so I wasn't able to try a different mouse brand. When I used my Wacom Table for input it also seems to exhibit the same problem.

Adjusting mouse speed in the Windows control panel seems to have no effect. According to Logitech their input devices function off the Windows drivers and their own software is not used in Vista. I can't seem to find anyplace in which application-specific preferences can be set for input devices in the Windows environment, which seems to be a big oversight so am I missing this?

I also going on the assumption that the controls for Logitech in the mac environment will not be useful in this case.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

And yes, I have already posted at the Fusion site.

OK, here's my own update from another forum. In Fusion's own preferences (in the Mac environment) there is a setting to "optimize mouse for games." Moving to "always optimize mouse for games" has reduced the problem enough to make the game playable.

I was also able to make it playable although still a little irritating by slowing mouse movement in the Windows control panel to the slowest possible setting and then turning on "display pointer trails." This setting had to be turned on each time though because it makes Windows almost unusable outside of Roblox. I'd consider this to be a temporary fix.

The game also for some reason is not rendering reflective metallic surfaces correctly. They come out as all white which is irritating but you can still play.

I have the same problem with Roblox under Parallels. It is as if the mouse movement is hugely magnified, but only for Roblox. Outside of Roblox (i.e. in the rest of Windows XP) the mouse behaviour is normal.

Still going through parallels support, but all of their suggestions thus far have done nothing.

Hart40 - Did you ever get it fixed under VMWare?
