Apple Inc phone calls

I keep getting phone calls from Apple Inc with a message that my ICloud info has been compromised and that I need to speak to a representative about getting it straightened out. Is this a hoax or legitimate?

The number is: 609-606-****.

It is a scam. Apple doesn't make unsolicited phone calls. If your iCloud was compromised you would be notified when you attempt to login (including logging in to this site). Also see: Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
