MacBook Pro on wake up see Apple logo and progress bar

On my 2019 MacBook Pro, every time I wake it after sleep, or screen on tapping the touchID I see a black screen with the Apple logo and a progress bar, it then instantly wakes up fine.

I’m on latest MacOS 10.15.3, it’s not old, was setup from fresh. I’ve restarted but seems to happen all the time, on battery or mains.

If you allow a lot of time to elapse, or the battery level is low, your Mac will go into deep sleep. It does the equivalent of a checkpoint-restart. That is, it copies the RAM image and machine state into a disk file and de-powers the memory.

To wake, it needs to restore that RAM image and machine state (your see the progress bar). Then it can resume right where it left off.
