No, deleting the app will not solve your problem, because it will not delete your photos from Google Photos, which is just a way to view and update the photos that are in your Google Drive. To remove photos you must use a web browser (or the app) and delete photos from Google Drive. You can go to https://photos.google.com and delete them there, or just delete them using the app. But keep in mind that deleted photos go to a Deleted Photos album, so you must also delete them from there.

There is 15GB of free storage available with the Google Account, which is shared across Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos. It indicates I may not be able to send and receive emails and I have reached the maximum storage through my Photo collection and now I cannot receive emails. I can BUY more storage if I want- I do not. I just want my email usage and don't need the Google Photos App. Everything I read says it's very difficult to get rid of the app and there are no phone numbers to call for this issue.

Sorry I have no attitude, you ask how to delete an app, and I told you how. Just because you don't like my helpful and correct response doesn't make it as if I have an attitude.

Then you reply back with a million different questions.

You made no mention at all in any of your post, that you a. tried to contact google support or that you're issue was with your google account.

I then again supplied you with the correct answer and to contact Apple support or look at their website.

good luck to you I'm done.

No, when you delete photos from Google Photos it also deletes them from your phone, and your iCloud Photos. If you want to keep the photos your only solution is to buy additional storage, or change your Google Photos settings to save at reduced resolution. Google Photo storage is free if you don’t save at maximum resolution.

Alternatively, copy the photos from iCloud Photos to your computer separately from the computer’s photos app.
