HDCP

Keep getting this message. Please ensure your monitor is HDCP compliant . What do I need to do? Is it another cable from my control to router or??I am unable to get my aluminum control to work.

Does your TV support HDCP? Did it work before or has this message always appeared? Above you said you didn't have an HDMI cable..if you are already connected via HDMI and it worked before then as suggested make sure it is secure and try another port.

If it persists then you would need to either get another cable to test, test on another TV or take it to Apple for testing.


You didn't mention which Apple TV you have, if unsure see link below. Be aware that if it's an older model, the 2nd gen is classified as obsolete and no longer supported (it's 9 year old hardware so that is also a factor), the 3rd gen is discontinued but Apple is still supporting it.

If this issue has always occurred and you are unable to verify HDCP compliance then there wouldn't be much you could do.
