Does Apple Rent iPhones for 2 months or so for free or at minimum charge?

Here’s my situation -

I’m an international student studying here at Stanford. Yesterday in a bike accident I broke my 6 year old iPhone (The glass has shattered and the back is broken. Also, there is a huge black hole on the upper left corner of the screen which makes operating it impossible) and currently I’m surviving because of my iPad.

I don’t have funding this quarter and I don’t want to get money from my parents. There is no good time to break a phone but I find this a miserable situation as if this had happened last quarter I would have used my internship money to buy an iPhone and write notes on paper instead of iPad.

This is the issue. I don’t want to ask my parents for money and I don’t have money to buy an iPhone right now. In March I’m hopeful to get funding as I’ll transfer to PhD and I’m also doing research work which should earn me enough to get a phone.

I know this is a super weird question but Does Apple Rent iPhones for 2 months or so for free or at minimum charge?

I will be buying a phone but would need some time to earn the money.

Please let me know all the options.
