how can I unlock my really old ipad 2?

I have an old ipad 2 but I don't remember the password. I can see it on my icloud account if that helps any. I'd like to save whatever info is on it if possible.

See this for a device that you have forgotten the passcode for, If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
