iPad malfunction

I have an iPad that keeps telling me incorrect passcode. However, the passcode is correct. I know for a fact it is correct. Also, it Turned on the VoiceOver feature.

I had this situation happened once before, I think to my iPhone, I shut it down with a hard shut down. When it came back up, I was able to sign in to my Apple device. However, it had the VoiceOver feature turned on still. I did go into settings and canceled it and everything was fine after that.

This is now happening on my iPad 4 mini but it won’t completely shut down. And still says incorrect passcode. I am now waiting for the battery to die and see if it will come up after that. Do you have any other suggestions other than erasing the device?

Thank you

Cathy

Hello,

Unfortunately you must now fully restore your iPad to factory settings. There is no way around having to fully erase your iPad. I hope you have a backup. If not then this is a good lesson as to why it is always important to maintain a current backup of your data.
