Lightening/USB Flash Drive that work natively with iOS Files App

Has anybody heard of any Lightening /USB Flash combo drives that work with the iOS Files App natively without having to instal a third party app? The weird thing is that most of these work work natively with the app if you you use the camera adapter kit and plug it in on the USB end but the lightening end requires an app. Anybody have any luck finding one that this isn't the case??

Hello webraider,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you would like to use external storage with the Files app on your iPhone. Depending on what content you're trying to get into the Files app, one way you could do this would be to use the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader:

Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader

SanDisk 256GB Extreme PLUS microSD UHS-I Card

Connect external devices or servers with Files on iPhone

Another way would be to use the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter and here is more about this product that could be helpful:

Cheers!

Actually no, I"m simply asking if anyone knows of any Lightning/USB Flash drives that work natively with the Files app. It seems if you use the lightning side of it, it requires an app but the USB side works with the Files App. I'm wondering why this seems to be the case? Yes I can get a kit and dongles but why don't the Lightning flash drives work natively?
