Battery Replacement

You can certainly try bringing it in to Apple or an AASP. However, if there's any kind of damage to the internals, they may refuse just a battery service if they feel it's not safe to put back in service.

Take the laptop to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to have the battery replaced. There is a chance it could qualify for one of Apple's undisclosed free repair programs.
