What is this .efu file?

I just found a file in my downloads folder named "lpe1105.efu".

After a search in internet I discovered that lpe1105 is a fibre channel card made by HP for windows and Linux systems, and efu extension is "Public Key used to authenticate an encrypted Encryptafile (.EFL) file; contains a hexadecimal representation of the public key; made available to the public and used along with the Private Key (.EFR) file to verify a digitally signed file."

I really don't know what that means and how this file is on my computer.
