I'm trying to replace a badly recorded acoustic bass. I've done replacement before in LPX without a problem.
Today however, LPX creates a visible (in the tracks window) midi track but when I open the editor no notes show and of course the VI does not play the 'phantom' midi.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong. LPX 10.4.8. Thoughts anyone?

I did have the right editor selected and found out what the problem was. I was trying to glean pitch info from a stereo bass track. It's an acoustic bass track that was sent to me as a (fake) stereo track. Once I converted it to mono it tracked the pitch and gave a readable midi track.

Maybe you selected the wrong editor. To see the MIDI notes, you need to open the audio file in the track editor. In the file editor, it's just a sample editor.
