Doing a port scan on my server from WAN show afp port opened.
On my airport, I see nothing with port 548 being forwarded but when I try to add it with Airport Utility, it say the port is already in use.
What is doing that ?

Port 548 is used by the AFP file sharing service that runs over TCP. If you have file sharing enabled in the AirPort Utility for this base station, then this port will be set to listen for traffic.
with file sharing on (both afp and smb)
Open TCP Port: 88 kerberos
Open TCP Port: 445 microsoft-ds
Open TCP Port: 548 afpovertcp
with file sharing off
Open TCP Port: 88 kerberos
I used to have macOS Server.
Something strange going on.
Test from your internal network.. when you turn off file sharing then both SMB and AFP should be turned off.
Do you have multiple Airports?
With file sharing on. (ignore the ssh which I have also turned on)
With File Sharing off
Check everything in your local network to see what has 548 turned on.
just one airport (the only router) but I will save the setting, reset the airport to zero to see if the problem come from. the airport.
finally found it, I feel bad :-(
I dont even remember setting it but this was activated.
with it removed, problem solved.
I turn it off, restart the airport base station. Same thing :-)
I can still access the server from the outside.
and strangely, I have 3 external hd but only 2 are share in the sharing tab in system preference but when I login, I have no problem accessing the 'not shared' one but on the other 2, I get 0 Files :-)
but that must be another problem with automatic password.
