Uploads have a virus

When trying to upload files to safari or chrome it says that the PDF or Pages files have a virus. This is from a trusted website.

Startup in  safe mode to try to isolate the cause of the issue.

  • Select your account and login.
  • Test.
  • To leave Safe Mode, click Apple logo   in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.



    Download EtreCheck, run it to see if there is any adware installed or not.

      Click  “Free download” button,

      Open Downloads folder, click on it to open, and then select ”Open”.

      “Choose a problem” from the popup menu box, and then “Start EtreCheck” in the dialog.

      Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy report” .

      Paste the report when you reply.

      Note: This is a diagnostic test.
