Upgrading to Family but...

My Individual sub just renewed today but I wanna upgrade to Family. Logically, I should be charged the subtraction as soon as I enter my billing information. But I wanna be sure I won't be charged for both the renewal and the Family plan.

Annual family subscription I accidentally purchased an individual annual subscription thinking it was family. Can I just cancel and not lose anything and just restart the $15/month as there is no annual fee for family?
