How to get rid of this bar
I don’t know what this bar at the bottom of my iPad screen is called, but is there a way to get rid of it? It keeps popping up when I’m using my app for terminal access and I can’t see what I’m typing.

This is called the Shortcuts Bar. This appears in any application that you are typing in. It appears that the developers of this application need to fine-tune their application to accommodate the Shortcuts Bar. In the meantime you can disable it in Settings > General > Keyboard.
