My 2018 Macbook Pro Screen Display Issue

Hello,

I've had this just over a year so of course it's a month out of warranty and am hoping to fix myself if possible. The screen looks like this:

If I lower the screen most of the way at like a 30 degree angle it's crystal clear and also if I open it all the way out sometimes it will be clear there as well.

Any suggestions on which part failed?

Appreciate any help!

Seems to be an issue with projector cable— take it in.

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"—

Appreciate the quick response.

I did take it in over the weekend and was told it would need to be sent to Apple at a flat rate of $495 and they'd fix whatever issue for that. I'd just assume buy a new computer as opposed to putting that much into it even though it's only a year old that's why I was hoping to try and resolve myself.
