restored macbook air- not showing Hd so will not restore

When I try to install macOS Sierra no disk is displayed so unable to install ?

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.12

Your last screenshot shows the SSD is unformatted. Select the "Apple SSD" in Disk Utility and erase it as GUID partition and MacOS Extended (Journaled). Once the SSD is properly erased, quit Disk Utility and select "Reinstall macOS" or "Restore from backup".

That’s awesome thank you. I was unsure about erasing the SSD, because when I erased Macintosh HD as it displayed errors and wouldn’t enable me to Reinstall. it then disappeared from utility.

I followed your instructions and (named the Drive) now all is well and reinstalled.

Thank you for your response which enabled me to get my MacBook up and running again.
