apple watch repeatedly losing connection to phone

my iWatch keeps losing its connection to my phone, requiring me to re-pair the devices. Same phone/watch combo for over a year. The info says "under some circumstances, this can occur" -- what are those circumstances so I can be aware? Very annoying

Do you have watchOS 6.1.2 installed?

If not, update your watchOS to 6.1.2.

Thanks. That seemed to work for now after multiple tries. Hopefully it will stay connected for more than a week this time. You mentioned in an earlier post that an iWatch is not an Apple product? I wasn’t aware of that? The apple logo appears when I turn it on and the box it came in was all decked out in Apple badging too. Did I misread your comment?
