mail app - on the mailbox page, when i click on edit in top right hand corner mail closes and i revert to iphone screen
How do I fix my problem of not being able to use the edit button on the mailbox screen in mail on iPhone SE, latest ol system.

First thing I would try is to restart your iPhone:

Other than that, the one;y other thing I can think of is to delete the mail app, restart the iPhone again, and then redownload & restore the mail app. See:
