Maps language

Check settings for Siri's language. I'm not sure if that has any affect on the Map directions, but that is the only other place I would think to check. What troubleshooting have you tried? First step is to power the iPhone off and back on again. Second step is to force closed Maps, and then force restart the iPhone, How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support and Force restart iPhone - Apple Support. The next steps would be to create a current backup of the iPhone and restore that backup.

Your Maps language should be determined by your device's settings for language and region. The only other thing I could think of is a setting in Siri.

Here is How to Change the Language of Apple Maps Labels in iOS

1. Open “Settings” and go to “Maps”
2. Look under “Maps Labels” flip “Always English” to OFF.
3. Exit out of Settings and restart your phone and launch Map again
