Boot up loader continues
My Macbook was switched off after battery died. I put it to charge and after putting the password the loading bar appears and it doesn’t go. The laptop won’t start up.

Charging is controlled by a Micro-controller, the System Management Controller (SMC). You do not need to be logged in or even have the main processor running to re-charge, and your Mac will never over-charge.
Try an SMC reset as leroydouglas suggests, and that should set everything right.
I tried this method, but the loading bar still appears at 100% and the desktop does not start.
Is this AFTER you have entered your password?
if so, your Mac may be trying to re-synchronize to your Apple-ID.
