Hi I recently bought an iPhone 11 however it has been damaged. The screen is completely smashed with a slight bend in its body. The phone still lights up however I can’t do anything with it. It has since been replaced with a new one. The photos on the original phone have not transferring accords to the new phone. I’m guessing my memory mustn’t even been full maybe . Is there any way to retrieve these photos?

If you cannot do anything with the phone, you probably cannot get the photos out. Were you using iCloud photos, or do the photos only exist on the iPhone? I'm guessing that you did not have a backup of the iPhone while the photos were on it?
If you cannot connect it and create a backup, or import the photos to the computer, or were not using iCloud photos, then yes, you will not be able to retrieve them.
Hi Chris thanks for the reply my phone wouldn’t have been backed up, I took them right before it broke. Does this mean that there is no way of retrieving them?
