Deleted apple id cannot be registered again

hi, I had an Apple ID with my company's mail address. Since I had no opportunity to recover my password, I decided to delete the whole account and to re-register it. Unfortunately during registration I encounter an error that its not possible to register this address. If I try to log in it tells me this id is not known (which I expect since account has been deleted). Is there a certain time one has to wait for a new registration or sth?
