Hello Tonilea05,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you're encountering an error indicating that your device is associated to another Apple ID when trying to download music. I would be happy to help provide more details.

From the support article below, "When you sign in with your Apple ID on a device and use that device to make purchases or subscribe to Apple services, the device becomes associated with your account." If this is a device that was previously used by someone else, it's possible you're encountering the error because it's still associated to their Apple ID:

This section provides more information about this message:

"When you try to associate another device that was previously associated, you might see a message that says, "This device is associated with another Apple ID. You cannot associate this device with another Apple ID for [number] days." Depending on when you associated your device with your Apple ID, you might need to wait up to 90 days to associate the device with another Apple ID.

This list of associated devices is not the same as the list of devices that you're currently signed in to with your Apple ID. You can see where you're signed in on your Apple ID account page."

If you don't believe that the device was used with another Apple ID within the past 90 days, confirm the Apple ID you're signed in to under Settings > iTunes & App Store is correct. If you need additional assistance, you can also contact Apple Support here:
