Impossible is correct. An Apple Watch Series 3 with watchOS 6 requires and iPhone 6s with iOS 13 at minimum.

Thank You, I may return. But I did find out after talking with Apple support that I can send my watch to Apple and they can change it to my operating system I have on my phone. I may try just in case. But I may decide to finally update my phone. I hate to spend the money. I’m looking to even find a used phone.
