I am thinking about switching carriers, but don’t want my visual voicemails lost or even my texts. Are there Apps that can import and store past messages when switching carriers?
I am thinking about going from Consumer Cellular to Teltik.

Sounds good. I'm hopeful as well. I've also used TouchCopy, a program that you can use on Windows or Mac to archive a lot of data from the iPhone, including voicemail. Another program for the Mac is Phone View. You can check them out. Like I said, I've used TouchCopy, and depending on the amount of data, there is a free version. The paid version paid for itself for me when I had to use a couple of voicemails to convince a shady contractor to remember what he told me he was going to do!

Yes, and as long as you make a full iTunes backup, they are stored in your backup! And you can extract them as .amr files that iTunes will playback, and the phone number is held in the information!
