My elderly friend has an iPhone 7. She only needs the basics for making calls. I don't even know what this pop up is called but it is going to confuse her. How do I turn it off on the iPhone 7 and also on the iPhone 6s? Please see the attach so you know what I'm referring to.

If you touch the app lightly the Popup (3D Touch feature) will not appear.
You can also switch it OFF
Settings > Accessibility > Touch > 3D & Haptic Touch: switch OFF here

Tried what? Locking the phone entirely and “permanently“ onto the phone app? That’s what I’m suggesting.
Yes, I changed the 3D Touch Sensitivity slider to Firm & Touch Duration to Slow. (Those options are no longer available when 3D Touch is off.) The pops still appear, just not so easily. And, I restarted the phone. No luck.
I might just go to the apple store.

I don't want to lock the phone entirely and “permanently“ onto the phone app. She will be using Safari, WhatsApp and Viber. I just want to turn off the quick action app pop ups.
