Green line

I have a two yo IPhone X that suddenly developed a bright green line the entire length of the screen. All else works fine. It appears there is some discussions that Apple may replace. Any experiences? No AppleCare

iPhone X, iOS 12

It sounds like a screen failure, but we can’t diagnose that issue remotely, sorry.

Have your device inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider:-> https://locate.apple.com/findlocations

Instead of trying to get us to agree with you that Apple should do something for you, you need to know we are ALL users on this forum. No one here works for Apple. What we think should or shouldn't be done is meaningless. Only Apple can tell you what they will do for you and that means you should schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar, show the phone to Apple and they'll explain your options.

Additional Information

Apple may restrict or limit repair to the original country or region of purchase.

This Apple program doesn't extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone X.

If you believe your iPhone X was affected by this issue, and you paid to replace your display module, you can contact Apple about a refund.

The program covers affected iPhone X devices for 3 years after the first retail sale of the unit.

So you are NOT having the green line problem that you posted, you have the Touch screen problem instead? Then by all means follow that link and take advantage of the program. But I would have sworn you were posting a picture of your iPhone and you did not have a touch screen problem, you had a green line issue. If the latter is true there is no service replacement program for that. If you are within your 1 year warranty you can get it replaced. If you purchased AppleCare + and you are in your 2 year warranty you can get it replaced for free. If you are outside of your warranty there is a charge.

Green line
