As mentioned, the iPad warranty, like the iPhone warranty, includes the clause that warranty service “may” be restricted to the country of original sale. However, unlike iPhones, the model of iPad doesn’t change by country so posters here over the years have reported getting warranty exchanges when traveling. Even the iPad models sold in mainland China are the same models as sold in other counties.
