Can I Edit Author Name in iBooks on MacOS High Sierra?

I save PDF eBooks to read in iBooks. I'd like to put all books by the same author into a collection - or at least display a single list of all his books. However, iBooks is treating his name as case sensitive and it has been written two ways: duChemin and Duchemin. iBooks shows this as two different authors.

I saw an old answer to the same question saying you can change it in List view. This worked for some but not all of the instances. I could edit the text but it wouldn't save and just reverted to the incorrect way of writing the name. Does anyone know a way around this?

It seems like if it isn't downloaded to your mac, you can't rename it. I had one stubborn one that it didn't matter, it won't rename.

So either right click on name and select rename, or click once on the part you want to change, pause, then click again and it should turn blue and let you change the info,

This DOES NOT WORK for audiobooks, I hope they fix that
