why is there a gray dot showing up on my back camera?

Could be a light orb, could be a spot on the lens, maybe a spot on your ceiling. Try gently cleaning the lens with a lint-free/microfiber cloth (don’t use any liquids or soaps).
If you see anything physically wrong with the lens take it in for service.
