iPhone 11. iOS 13.3.1. Count of contacts no longer appears at the bottom of Contacts App. What gives?

It still appears for me (iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13.3.1).

What’s unique about your situation?

  • Might your storage be full?
  • Might your contacts be stored in more than one place?
  • Might you be using contact groups?
  • Have you scrolled to the bottom of your contacts?
  • Something else?

Hello! Thank you for your quick response and thoughtful queries.

  1. Storage not full. Brand new phone purchased last week. Not restored from previous setup. 240 gb of 256 gb available.
  2. Started from scratch adding new contacts into this address book on this phone only, stored locally on the device. I do not have any contacts in iCloud. I do not use iCloud to sync my contacts.
  3. I have no contact groups.
  4. I have scrolled to the bottom.
  5. Ultimately it must have been something else. I tried a system power cycle, closed and re-opened the app, and manually added one more contact to the address book. Following these actions, the count appeared at the bottom as expected.
