What is it?

I'm trying to find out what type of iPod I have. Engraved on the metallic back is the following: Model No:A1288 EMC2341 FCC ID:BCGA1288 ICID:579-A1288. The model, read from the screen under the "About" label, was MC086LL.

It's loaded with iOS: 3.1.2 (7D11).
From what I've found onlne,
A1288 indicates iPod 2G, and
MC086LL indicates iPod 3G.

My best guess is that it's a 2G.

What model is this?
