my iphone has blocked instagram

I had downloaded and used instagram on my iphone 7 plus for over a year, one day I deleted the app and once I re downloaded it I could not log in. Every time I try to log in it says ‘error, sorry there was a problem with your request’ However I can log into my instagram on other devices. I’ve tried to re download the app, log in with facebook or my number yet nothing works. I was informed by a youtube video that my phone may have blocked the app? It’s very irritating for me and this issue has been going on for months. Can someone please help me find a way to fix this?
