This link—>Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling - Apple Support says that a 5c or later is needed:
To use Wi-Fi Calling, you need an iPhone 5c or later on a supported carrier.
So next go to Settings/General/About and see if it really is a 5c and not a 5.
If it is really a 5c contact the carrier and ask them to provision Wi-Fi calling on the phone’s number.
Yes - I have an 8S that uses wifi calling on the same network. My wife's phone for some reason doesn't give me the prompt to turn on wifi calling.
her phone is a 5s, and the software has been just updated 12.4.5
From other web articles it appears a 5s should be able to do this, but...
WiFi calling requires an iPhone 6 or later.
Interesting - there seem to be many references on the web that a 5c, 5s, etc., will all work. Where are you seeing that?
I've never seen a carrier outside of the US that actually supported WiFi calling on a 5, 5c, or 5s.
I guess Apple could be mistaken in the kB article.
