I forgot my iPhone XS password and want to to restore from icloud

I need the steps to restore my phone from iCloud if I forgot my iPhone password. I did not forget my Apple ID. I have that. Thanks.

Follow these instructions—>If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

Followed by these instructions—>Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
