Apple tv app
I am supposed to get a year free subscription to Apple TV after my Verizon purchase. But if I want to watch a show it says in-app purchases aren’t allowed on this device?
The free year isn't automatic, you would have to claim the offer within the app on your phone. Without it you are only able to watch the first 2 episodes. See steps below
- Turn on your new Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS.
- The offer should be presented immediately after launching the app. If not, go to the Apple TV+ channel page where you’ll see the offer.
- Tap Enjoy 1 Year Free.
