My iPad won’t let me text anyone? It says message failed every time I try! It’s been happening since Monday. Can anyone give me an explanation?

"Text"???
There are two types of text messages in the Apple world:
- iMessages, sent to/from other Apple devices.
- SMS/MMS messages, sent to/from cellular telephones.
Your iPad is not a cellular telephone. It has no capability to send or receive text messages. Is that the type of message you're referring to?
The iPad can use an iPhone in a Handoff mode to communicate SMS/MMS messages. Is that what you're talking about?
