Keep getting a message on my watch every few hours asking me to enter password for an old work related Apple ID. Have no recollection of the password but my watch and phone are set up with current Apple ID. Why does this keep popping up and how can I get rid of it?

It's probably trying to install companion apps to some apps on your phone that is linked to an old apple ID

Check out:

Install apps on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

And How to use your iPhone to manage your watch apps

Try and install one of the apps there. I think you will find that this replicates the issue.

Once you see what apps that does this. the solution is to delete this app from the phone. And reinstall linking it to your own apple ID.

Good luck!

Open your Apple Watch app on your phone and go to “My Watch

Go to Settings/General & turn off Automatic App Install.

Now go back to “My Watch” and scroll to the bottom to see “Available Apps”.

Any apps you see that are trying to install are the culprits causing the notifications!

Delete those apps from your phone, and if necessary reinstall them with your current Apple ID.

Turn Automatic App Install back on if necessary.
