Logic Pro X will not use the mic on my bose QC35

I have a pair of Bose Q35 headphones. My MacBook Pro 16 will pair with the headphones and I can select the mic as input on the Systems Preferences>Sound screen. When I talk the the Input Level bars flash.

The Logic Pro X Preferences>Audio>Devices Input Device shows Bose QuietComfort 35. When I try to record I get the "No input source selected" message. If I change the Input Device to MacBook Pro Microphone, I can record my voice
