Apple Watch sign in to iCloud

Hi,

My Apple Watch keeps asking for me to login to my iCloud. Sometimes it can be once a day but yesterday it asked me 6 times. This is very annoying and I have tried everything I have seen in other Apple message boards.

I do not have my iCloud activated so this is getting extremely annoying. I am almost to the point where I do not want to wear the thing anymore.

The watch updates seem to make it worse. Of course another watch update popped up this morning.

Has anyone found a resolution?

I am not sure I know what this means. But I am certain this is the cause of the problem.

You need an Apple ID to use Apple’s infrastructure. Perhaps that’s what you mean by “my iCloud”. There is no conceivable reason not to create and use an Apple ID. There is no charge.

You say you don’t use iCloud, but actually you do. One example is if you ever “purchased” (whether free or not) any apps, those apps are stored in iCloud. There are many other examples.

The message asking you to sign in likely gives you a clue as to the reason you’re being asked.

Hi,

I do have an Apple ID. I don’t use the ICloud. The message keeps asking me to log into my iCloud account.

This problem started around The end of last year after one of the many updates Apple releases.
