contacting XQuartz server from within Linux running under docker

I have XQuartz up and can use xterm in Terminal

the DISPLAY is set to /private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.Lu4O1ZctRc/org.macosforge.xquartz:0

I'm also running docker with a CentOS image. From inside the container that DISPLAY does not work, probably because it refers to a socket that is local to MacOS.

Is there a way that XQuartz can use a "normal" style DISPLAY of say "graphe:0"?
