Macbook pro

My girlfriend has an apple Macbook Pro.  It's less than a year and a half old .  I know the warranty is out but it is having a major problem.  Does apple back there product beyond waranty for anything?

Define "back".

Apple will diagnose and fix it for an out of warranty fee if that is what you mean.

They do not stop providing support and repair just because the warranty has expired. It just means any issue it may have, will have a cost associated with fixing it.

When under warranty, any issues considered to be a result of the manufacturing or assembly process are repaired for free.

As I said, they will diagnose and fix it, for a fee, with no issue.

Unless it is determined to be a an actual manufacturing or assembly process issue that they can be held directly responsible for and is sufficiently reproducible in multiple MacBook Pro and is not attributable to the normal wear and tear there's no expectation for them to fix it for free if that is what you ultimately mean by "back".

Apple is known to have recall programs for devices if they find a major problem in a large sample of them and normally make it available beyond the standard warranty. So, yes Apple is known to stand behind and back their products when required.

For example: 15-inch MacBook Pro Battery Recall Program - Apple Support

So what exactly is wrong with it? What is this major problem its experiencing? Is it really something that would be directly a result of the manufacturing or assembly process, and that can be seen in multiple MacBook Pro's of the same model?

Or is it something else, which may be entirely fixable by other means and does not even require Apple intervention?
