There are two competing developers of The Print Shop. One is Broderbund (the original), the other being MacKiev. Do you know who your copy of Print Shop was developed by? Neither support Catalina at this time even though they had almost two years to get up to speed. The problem is that Catalina only supports 64 bit apps now. 32 bit is dead. Neither company has said anything about if or when a Catalina version will be released.
You wouldn't be able to revert your new Mac to an earlier version of macOS even if you wanted to. Macs will not run on versions of macOS earlier than the one they shipped with or later.
There are a number of discussion threads here about Print Shop and this issue. Many are suggesting an app called Swift Publisher as a replacement. It is available in the Mac App Store for $20 and has excellent reviews.
For now your are at the mercy of the developers who have had ample time to prepare for Catalina but chose not to. Users should be putting pressure on them big time.

Ikrupp said it all very well. Nothing I could add to that. I have also tested and occasionally use Swift Publisher and I can say that it seems to be a very good , full featured desktop publisher app. It is also a 64 bit program.
Check with the vendor.
Thank You for your input, my wife mostly does custom “greeting” cards for all type occasions. Can’t believe I have not run across Swift Publisher before?
I've used that for years; I usually use my own designs or photos, but their "manipulating" options are great!
